Cohort 4, I got a call today from Newark Public Schools from a Mr. Ritter. Unfortunately I was at work and missed the call. I will have to call back tomorrow though. Perhaps it's regarding our assignment for student teaching? Did anyone else get a call?

Hi Rachel,
I think we are supposed to find out today where we will be going for the summer student teaching. What I want to find out is, if we still have to do 5 years instead of 3 years. Has anyone heard anything else about this?

Hey Bonita,
I spoke to the guy that called me today from Newark Public Schools. The phone call was about placement for September. I'm kinda nervous though because they want to place me in a High School as an inclusion teacher. With a K-5 certification, teaching in a High School was not part of my plan. Also, as an inclusion teacher I would be hesitant as well because I have heard that the teachers in Newark are very resistant to having to "share" their classroom. I don't know if I can ask to be placed somewhere else or what. Man...
