Hello,
In order for us to become matriculated students at NJCU we need to take either the GRE's or the Miller Analogy test. Did anyone do either or already? Which is the preferred one to take?
Thanks, Katie

Hi Katie,
It really depends on what your strong points are. The GRE is kinda like the PRAXIS where it has Math, Science, Reading and Language Arts in it, but instead of Elem. Ed Content Knowledge, you're tested on college level material so the Math is a lot more intensive.
The MAT's involve analogies just like the ones that were on our SAT's, if you're still familiar with what they were like. However, the analogies range from easy to very hard. I have a review book and some are near to impossible to know the answer to.
I know a lot of people prefer the MAT's over the GRE's, but I am going to take the GRE's. Also, if you're thinking about possibly going for your Ph.D. in the future, take the GRE's because you will need this for your Ph.D.
Good luck on whatever you decide!
